Trump has boasted since his administration won the 2016 election that his team will not take “no” for an answer. But this has proven to work against him in many ways, such as immigration and healthcare reform. Some take this to mean that it does not affect those who can easily access healthcare. However, men and women aren’t getting the healthcare they need in at-risk communities. And certain facets for immigrants are being closed. So how are either of these areas going to improve with little to no lea-way for those who are stuck on the shorter end of the situation.
So, for starts let’s look at healthcare. Trump has bragged that his new Trump-care will lower insurance premiums for small businesses. However, further digging into the bill shows that the lowered prices are a result of LESS COVERAGE. No wonder they aren’t paying as much! They aren’t getting as much! However, this also creates an easier market for small businesses to insure employees. Give a lot, get a little? I guess small business owners will decide. Either way, Trump refuses to pass anything even reminiscent from Obamacare because he sees it as giving in. And giving in would not support his “No Means No” personal policy.
Immigration has been a HUGE topic in political media lately. However, to skirt all of what you are thinking right now, the videos and pictures you have been seeing circulate recently are from the Obama Administration. But this does not excuse the fact that no one in the Trump team has made an effort to change it, because in their eyes it gives “the other side” a win. Immigration affects everyone, men, women and children, both legal and illegal. It even effects natural born American children who are having family members taken out of their arms and shipped back to countries they don’t even know anymore. This inhumane treatment has been ignored for far too long.
I urge you to do your research, form your own views. Don't just take someone's word for it. Especially, when lives are being so heavily impacted by such positions like Donald Trump's.
