Know Your Body Part 1

a series by Monica A.

Dear Viewers,

Let’s talk about how your body communicates.

Your body will try giving you lots of signs for lots of different reasons. Learning how to read these signs will really help you know what your body needs to be functioning at its full potential. And when your body is getting what it needs, you’ll notice a huge difference in you physical AND mental health. Let’s scratch the surface with what your breakouts tell you.

So, what do certain types of breakouts mean?

We will break down you breakouts into 5 main areas.

1. Chinline and neck; you’re getting your period/hormones

Breakouts in this area are usually a sign of a hormonal imbalance. For women, this may mean your period is coming so your estrogen is soaring. For men it means there may have been an event/process which made your body overproduce any number of chemicals, causing this imbalance to produce as acne.

2. T-Zone, Forehead and Nose; STRESS

Your T-zone is where the most of your acne will produce. That is because as humans we stress over everything possible. Limit your stress by drinking herbal teas, and finding ways to find your own zen.

3. Corners of your mouth; Acidic Foods

For obvious reasons, the food you eat can cause acne. From what they are made of, to just grease, what we put in our bodies comes out in more ways than one. Cut out highly acidic foods and greasy food (at least less often) will really limit the breakouts in this area.

4. Temples; Oils

When you breakout near your temples on the side of your head, it is likely you’ve either applied to much hair product to this area or you’ve just been touching them way too much. If you’re prone to temple headaches (which we talk about in the next section) you may need to consider carrying around you preferred brand of pain reliever. If you’re a gel or moose kind of person, make sure after it is properly applied in your hair, that you clean up the surrounding area.

5. Cheeks; Dirt and toxins

Your breakouts on your cheeks typically means you have encountered a lot of dirt or environmental toxins. Using face-masks/face washes infused with charcoal will help with these stubborn breakouts.

I hope this helps you in your journey with health. Look out for a Part 2 to this series "What are your headaches tell you” in upcoming months!

Sincerely,

Fememist
